Are you a talented musician looking for an opportunity to showcase your skills on an international stage? The Palestine Youth Orchestra (PYO) is searching for passionate individuals to join their prestigious ensemble for an enriching musical experience like no other.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must have reached at least an ABRSM Grade 7 or equivalent on orchestral instruments or singing. The PYO also welcomes applicants who play Arab instruments, as their program celebrates both Western Classical Music and Arabic Music.
Application Process
The deadline to submit your application is March 30th, 2024. However, this is only to submit the application form. Later, applicants will need to prepare one piece of their choice along with selected orchestral excerpts that will be sent to them.
Audition Details
All auditions must be submitted as video recordings or links (preferably YouTube links) to zkhoury@ncm.birzeit.edu by 15 April 15, 2024. The audition deadline is 20 April. This is your chance to shine and showcase your musical talents to the world.
Rehearsals and Concerts
Selected participants will have the opportunity to participate in rehearsals and concerts in Jordan from 5 July to 18 July, 2024. This is a unique chance to collaborate with talented musicians from around the world and perform in front of live audiences.
Fees and Costs
There is a participation fee of 200 US dollars for all accepted participants. Additionally, applicants are responsible for covering all their own costs. However, the PYO covers flight tickets and accommodation for accepted participants, making this opportunity accessible to talented musicians from all backgrounds.
