COVID-19 Policy and Procedure Updates

Based on the decision of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Education announces that, starting from September 1, 2022, it is not mandatory to wear face masks, for students, teachers and administrators, in all kindergartens as well as public and private schools.

In a Cabinet meeting earlier today, a decision was also made to scrap the use of face masks in closed public places, except when citizens and residents are inside health facilities or when using public transportation. This takes effect from tomorrow as well.

However, all employees and workers whose nature of work requires being in closed places and communicating with customers must wear masks during their work period.
