We are delighted to announce that Qatar Music Academy’s Piano (Keyboard) Department has received a harpsichord, donated by Mr. Tobias Gette, violinist with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.

This remarkable instrument marks an exciting milestone for our academic and performance offerings. It will allow students to deepen their understanding of historical performance practices and enhance both solo and ensemble repertoire—particularly for Baroque works that were originally composed for the harpsichord.

We extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Gette for this thoughtful and valuable contribution. His generosity provides QMA students with new opportunities to explore music in historically informed ways.
