About Tricia En Lin Ng

Tricia started learning to play the violin when she was 3 through the Suzuki method and had her first public performance at the age of 4. She has taken much pride and delight in playing and performing the violin ever since. She moved to Qatar with her parents when she was 6 in 2010 and joined the Qatar Music Academy (QMA) in the Western music academic program in late 2011. She was awarded the prestigious QMA scholarship through the 2012-2013 and 2015-2016 academic years.

She graduated from QMA since then and has since achieved many accolades. One of her earliest achievements in QMA was passing with Distinction for the ABRSM Grade 8 Violin Practical at the young age of 9. Her talent was further recognized as evidenced by the several significant prizes awarded to her in the national and international violin competitions that she participated. Her soloist debut was in 2016 with the QPO/QMA orchestra performing A. Vivaldi's Four season – La Primavera ("Spring"). In 2018, she performed the first movement of N. Paganini's Violin Concerto No one as the soloist with the QPO.

In addition to participating in competitions, Tricia has also participated in several renowned masterclasses and quartet programs. In 2019, she was invited to participate in one of the USA's top quartet programs for young talents, the Castleman Quartet Program. She has had intensive masterclasses with the program founder, Mr. Charles Castleman (violin professor at Frost School of Music, University of Miami).
