Arab Percussion Teacher
Hany was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt. He is a music teacher and a professional percussion player. Hany graduated from the musicology department at Cairo’s Academy of Arts in 2010.
He studied percussion with Professor Hishem Arabi, one of the most important riq players in the Arab World. Hany commenced his musical teaching career at the Higher Institute of Arab Music in Cairo where he graduated. Hany then moved to Bahrain to teach music which provided him with an opportunity to obtain knowledge and experience with Khaleegi rhythm and percussion. Hany has appeared as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Cairo Opera Orchestra and the Cairo Conservatoire Orchestra.
